It was 4 km from Hampsfell Hospice. Ellenboro House Bed & Breakfast & Self-Catering in Cartmel truly enhanced my visit to the area. the accommodation is perfectly situated in a charming location. It's conveniently quiet and just a short walk to all the places I wanted to visit. being only 4 km away from Hampsfell Hospice was a wonderful bonus.

I have to mention the delicious breakfast with fresh home made bread, locally sourced meat plus bacon. Very good staff who managed the COVID restrictions in a positive and thoughtful manner, and the ambience is chic.

the building is spotlessly clean and the rooms are beautifully decorated and well-appointed with a decent shower, beautiful view and very comfy bed.

We had the most relaxing Easter break in a cozy and well-decorated room. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, offering us a glass of wine upon arrival and even homemade cake and coffee. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a getaway from the busy city. The nearby pub/restaurant was a pleasant 10-minute walk away and the hosts thoughtfully provided us with torches for our evening stroll. We also appreciated the little details like the welcome glass of port in our room. we felt like part of the family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The small sink in the bathroom, which made it a bit difficult to use. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall amazing experience we had.

The shower room lacked space for toiletries, with no shelf over the sink for convenience.
